Ahwon Min grew up in Seoul. She moved to New York in 2011 after finishing her MFA in Illustration at Savannah College of Art and Design.
The field that she is fascinated by the most is editorial illustration that is in need of strong understanding of the world. She loves to create art with joy, humor, and satire as a connection between people and the world.
Chirldren's books are her another biggest passions and a playground. Inspired by various sources such as old Korean folk tales and childhood memory.
Based on her long artistic background, including Seoul Arts High School majoring in painting and Industrial design BFA at Ewha Womans University, she has diverse spectrum of works. Corresponding to this era, she works in digital, but still keeps th hand-made and whimsical look.
